Rugs must be completely free of dirt, dry soil, grot, grit, dust, dustmites, and dust mite carcases before the cleaning process is even considered. We use state of the art dusting machinery that gently vibrates up to 2000 per second to remove all foreign matter from the rug.

Competent Cleaners Ltd will pick up your oriental rug, clean it in our state of the art plant and deliver it back to your home. Our Rug collection and delivery service is free of charge.

We also offer a comprehensive inspection and repair service for your valued investment. When the item arrives at our works it would be pre inspected and any weaknesses and any  limitation in the cleaning process because of staining etc  would be included in a written report to yourself outlining our recommendations and likely costs.

For  rugs that are physically impossible for our technicians to move or you cannot be without the rug for the three to four weeks our factory method of cleaning normally takes  we have adapted an on site method of cleaning which, whilst it does not give as thorough method of cleaning is a solution to your problems. We pre vacuum the rug to remove as much loose dirt as possible and then gently clean the surface of the rug removing surface dirt and carry out any spot cleaning for particular spillages etc that may be evident. We hand clean any fringes and then relay the pile leaving the carpet to dry naturally on your floor. For rugs that are on sensitive flooring we will place protective covering under the rug to avoid potential problems.
