Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do you move furniture?

We will move most couches, chairs, and tables free of charge. Heavier items, and furniture with electronics or breakables will either need to be moved ahead of time by the home owner or we can clean around it. Each item that can't be moved will be identified beforehand during your free estimate or walk-through pre-inspection.

2) Will you be able to remove all stains on my carpet?

No guarantee can be given for complete stain removal because some stains, such as but not limited to, food colourings, hot drinks, cosmetic  preparations, plant foods etc. may cause permanent colour change to the fibres and may react adversely to stain removal products.
All spots and stains cannot be removed from every fibre and fabric due to differences in fibre type and construction, the dyes used, and the finish of the fabric. The composition of the spill and the length of time the stain has remained on the article also has a bearing on stain removal. Be patient. Some spots and stains respond in time.

3) How long will my carpets take to dry?

A lot depends on the type and thickness of your carpets and of course, the weather, but most carpets will be dry in two to three hours. Some may take a little longer. We can provide a turbo dryer if rapid drying is required.

4) How long before I can walk on the carpets?

It is better if you can leave them to dry but we can provide shoe protectors if you cannot avoid walking on them.

5) What about my upholstery drying time?

Drying times for upholstery can vary enormously, but will always be kept to a minimum. Modern upholstery can contain several different fibre types, each has to be identified in order to establish the best method of cleaning. You will agree that it is well worth the wait when you see the transformation. Look at my before and after photo examples.

6) I work six days a week, can you clean my carpets without me being at home.

Yes, if you wish, We can come to you and pick up a key and drop the key back to you when convenient.

7) I’m going on holiday, can you clean whilst I am away?

Yes, you can come back to clean fresh carpets and curtains. Just tell us who has the key and  arrange for some one to be on call should we need them and we will do the work and send you an invoice to be paid when you return and have seen the finished results .
We have worked for one client for 25 years that we have never met. She simply leaves the key in a pre arranged spot, leaves us a note what she wants cleaning and where she wants us to pay special attention and leaves the rest to us .

How Often Should I Clean My Carpet?

This is a commonly asked question.  I have had people say that they have not had their carpets cleaned in 10 years or more because they have relied on myths and misconceptions.  The fact is that cleaning extends the life of your carpet and saves you the tremendous amount of money required to replace prematurely worn carpet. 

Carpets cleaned on a regular basis provide a healthy, safe living environment for you and your family at the same time adding years of life to one of the larger investments in your home.  So the question is, how often should they be cleaned?  The answer can depend on several factors.  The chart below taken from the IICRC Reference Guide for Professional Carpet Cleaning can assist you in answering this all important question.
